Dancing for Peace August 23-26, 2007 Eagle Bay Sanctuary, Dexter, New York

Dancers, singers, drummers, healers, caretakers, people from all nations of this beautiful Earth: come to celebrate the diversity of life and pray for peace at Eagle Bay Sanctuary, located in upstate New York on the Black River Bay and Lake Ontario, famous for fishing and bird watching.

At this time of great concern for peace and ecological health for the Earth, we gather on this sacred land to celebrate our lives, to move away from conditioned judgments and misinformation that keeps us from embracing each other as one family across all borders of race, gender, religion, and sexual preferences. We connect to the ancient essence of all that unites us, bringing a dynamic message of peace to all humanity.

We are all mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and sons.
We are all one. Let us live in peace.

Dance for Peace 2007 Schedule

There will not be a Sundance this year because we do not have a Sundance chief. However, we will have the Dance for Peace gathering instead to continue the prayer with sweatlodge ceremonies, community gatherings, beautiful tipis in a circle and a Saturday night ceremony.

August 23nd - 26th: Dance for Peace with Freddy Arevalo from Peru

• 23rd, 24th and 25th: Sweat lodges
• Evening of the 25th: Prayer ceremony
• Swimming, canoeing, eagle watching, llama walks, community kitchen, bonfires, music
